Self-Sabotage Life Coaching

Self-sabotaging happens when there’s a mismatch between what we want and the way we behave in order to get what we want.  All of us desire fabulous health, supportive, loving relationships, robust financial abundance and a sense of purpose and fulfilment in our lives. And yet often, our own behaviour undermines these goals. We neglect our health, are addicted to life- sapping substances, we procrastinate, we squander time, we overspend, we don’t invest in meaningful relationships, or the future or future financial goals. In short, self-sabotage means although we would love to achieve those lofty goals of glorious health, wealth and love, we subconsciously wreck, undermine and destroy all chances we have of achieving them. And we don’t know why, or the reasons behind our obvious self- sabotage. 

With Self- Sabotage Coaching I’ll help you identify your own saboteurs, and no surprise, these often stem from childhood trauma, the family imprint, media brainwashing and the pressure from society and the collective consciousness for you to conform to a certain type of behaviour. This behaviour wont serve you, but it will serve those around you who want to keep you small, addicted, chaotic and generally struggling to get ahead.

Self-Sabotage Coaching is present and future orientated. We spend our first session acknowledging the past and the influences on your subconscious behaviours, but our intention is always to free ourselves from these debilitating influences and move forward into your new version of YOU. I’ll offer you tools, goals, accountability and insights on how to change for good and break free from your own self- sabotage and lead the life you deserve.

Life Transition Coach

Haven’t we all made these huge transitions in life and been tossed into an unknown future without much warning or tools? Wouldn’t it have been wonderful to have someone help you navigate this dark time? From giving up a corporate career (me) to bring up my own babies and starting a business from home, for others their life transitions might be navigating a divorce, death of a partner, job loss, retrenchment, health challenges or wanting to change careers. A life transition coach helps you navigate the sense of loss and abandonment of your previous self, and identify what you really want from life and how to get there.

Many of my clients are middle aged women trying to reinvent themselves and fearing the financial loss from retirement, retrenchment, divorce or death of a partner and wanting to start a new business or income stream or simply a new version of themselves.

Health and Wellness Coaching

This incorporates movement, nutrient- dense ancestral eating and lifestyle strategies to improve your health, and help you lead a more vital life. No expensive lotions or potions, although I might recommend a range of expert practitioners (naturopaths, homeopaths, osteopaths, chiropractors, physiotherapists and masseuses who might recommend you top up your diet and lifestyle with carefully chosen supplements) if you need a bit more help with the process. I live by and recommend the Weston Price Foundation way of eating using nutrient dense foods, fermented foods and things like cod liver oil and bone broth to help you achieve robust health. Our sessions together will address  your past health challenges, your current health challenges and strategies like mindset, diet, movement and life style choices to help you achieve your health and wellness goals.  

EFT and TRE

Most negative behaviours and traumas are also held somewhere in the body. So, I also use EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) Tapping and sometime TRE (Trauma Release Exercises), breathing exercises and movement to release these trauma imprints from your body and speed up this process.

So how is a session structured?

We establish the coaching relationship: I offer all my new Coaching clients a complimentary zoom session for about 20 minutes and you can get to know me and I can get an idea of what you would like to change and resolve in your life.

We can also identify what type of coaching will serve you best. Are you a self -saboteur? Are you navigating a life transition? Or do you need to overcome a health challenge and get your health and life back on track?

You then have a choice of how many coaching sessions you would like to purchase. In this industry, six sessions are the standard minimum to elicit real change in peoples lives.

We asses the problem and set goals:

  • WANT – What do you want to have happen?
  • OUTCOME – If you get this, what do you envision for yourself?
  • OBSTACLE – What’s the mental block that has prevented you from getting what you want?
  • HOW DO YOU FEEL – Where do you feel this challenge in your body? Up till now what are your health challenges? This tells me volumes about the nature of your challenge. This is what separates my life coaching from others. I use your body as a barometer of truth. We can talk, strategize and set up accountability forever, but we have to convince your body that it is safe to overcome this obstacle and you are deserving of achieving this goal. I might use physical strategies (EFT and Breathwork) to help you unlock this block in your tissues, organs and body.
  • PLAN – What are you going to do when the block comes up?
  • REVIEW and EVALUATION: Regular progress assessments and reflections refine strategies and set new goals if needed.
